Our client is a renowned titan among the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, is on the hunt for an astute and dynamic Head of Derivatives and Institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine institutional service systems (trading interfaces, OTC processes, custody solutions) to meet needs like large-scale transactions and compliance.
  • Lead derivatives business strategy, develop new products (e.g., structured derivatives) to serve institutional risk management and investment goals.
  • Manage market maker relationships and liquidity strategies to reduce slippage and ensure smooth large-scale trades.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (tech, compliance, risk) to ensure system stability, regulatory compliance, and robust risk monitoring.
  • Expand institutional client base (hedge funds, financial institutions) and maintain key relationships with dedicated support.

Qualifications

  • Master’s in finance, economics, or related field; deep knowledge of crypto derivatives and global regulations (e.g., MiCA, MSB).
  • Minimum of 10 years in the finance sector, with substantial stints in either large-scale hedge fund asset management or cryptocurrency asset management. Demonstrable success in launching and scaling trading businesses, preferably in the crypto space.
  • Extensive connections within the financial industry, including key decision-makers at hedge funds and asset management firms. A robust network within the crypto ecosystem, encompassing blockchain projects, exchanges, and regulatory bodies, is essential.
  • Familiarity with institutional trading systems / APIs; strong risk management and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities; passion for crypto and adaptability to market changes.
