Software Engineer

A leading Ship Management and Offshore Vessel Operating company, providing integrated marine services to offshore Oil & Gas facilities, is looking to hire a Software Developer to support our digital transformation initiatives. Based in Dubai , this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the Role

As a Software Developer, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems. You’ll work closely with a team of experienced engineers, building modern solutions using technologies such as .NET Core, Azure, microservices architecture, and cloud-based platforms .

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Assist in designing and developing microservices using .NET Core (ideally .NET 8).
• Collaborate on cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure , ensuring scalability and security.
• Support data-related tasks using SQL Server and PostgreSQL .
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs , integrating with third-party systems.
• Work with real-time communication technologies such as RabbitMQ and Redis .
• Participate in DevOps pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for CI / CD and automated testing.
• Contribute to unit and integration testing, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile development team focused on continuous improvement.
• 3–4 years of software development experience.
• Experience with .NET Core , preferably version 8.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker .
• Proficient in database management and querying using SQL Server or PostgreSQL .
• Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
• Exposure to Azure cloud services and deployment practices.
• Understanding of Git , CI / CD, and DevOps workflows.
• Some experience with real-time systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, SignalR).
• Strong grasp of web security and authentication protocols .
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow with the team.
• Work on impactful projects in the offshore marine and oil & gas sectors.
