Job Purpose
The Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems used in commercial, industrial, medical, military, scientific, and marine applications. The role includes analyzing customer requirements, planning system designs, supervising maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering reliable engineering solutions within defined budgets and timelines.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Engineering Design & Analysis
- Analyze customer needs to determine system requirements, capacity, feasibility, and cost.
- Plan, conceptualize, and develop electrical and electronic designs for new and ongoing projects.
- Perform engineering calculations to support maintenance, repair, and system development activities.
- Create, review, and update technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Conduct simulations and analyze test data to validate system performance and reliability.
Maintenance, Repair & Troubleshooting
Inspect engines, generators, transmissions, and associated systems to identify faults.Conduct diagnostic tests to determine electrical, electronic, and mechanical defects.Dismantle, remove, repair, rebuild, and assemble engines, generators, and mechanical components as per service manuals.Troubleshoot reported issues and resolve them efficiently to minimize downtime.Test, adjust, and validate repaired electrical and electronic components using computerized diagnostic tools.Ensure repairs are conducted to achieve maximum reliability and operational efficiency.Project Execution & Documentation
Estimate project budgets, timelines, and resource requirements.Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, schedule, and budget.Maintain detailed documentation to track project development, designs, and modifications.Keep accurate logs of work performed and prepare technical and service reports.Safety, Quality & Compliance
Ensure all equipment, products, and activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Implement electrical safety standards, best practices, and marine-specific compliance requirements.Monitor workshop tools, machinery, and equipment to maintain quality and operational standards.Coordination & Communication
Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and technical presentations when required.Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, staff, vendors, suppliers, and industry professionals.Interact with customers to understand requirements and resolve technical issues.Provide technical support, guidance, and documentation to subordinates and workshop teams.Additional Responsibilities
Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including workshop and site locations.Willingness to work overtime as required.Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.Strong understanding of electrical and electronic system design and maintenance.Experience with simulations, testing, and data analysis.Ability to produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical documentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD, or similar tools.Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (preferred).Key Skills & Competencies
