Overview

The Biosimilar Regional Account Manager (BRAM) will manage targeted customer accounts across institutional, clinic, specialty wholesale distribution, specialty pharmacy, and market access classes of trade for the Teva product portfolio, with an emphasis on biosimilars. The BRAM will also handle product responsibilities within the generic and innovative medicine portfolios, developing and maintaining relationships with customer targets based on product strategies. This role implements product access strategies and tactics in collaboration with Marketing and other internal stakeholders. The BRAM will identify and pursue opportunities through data analysis and contract negotiations aligned with product strategies, with the goal of meeting and exceeding assigned sales targets. The BRAM is also accountable for ensuring contract compliance to drive pull-through sales and for reporting market intelligence. Collaboration with internal teams including Market Access, Trade, Marketing, Medical, Brand Team, Finance, National Accounts, and Pricing / Contract teams is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategies to achieve national and regional goals and quotas within the assigned region
  • Maintain knowledge of biosimilars, specialty, and generic pharmaceuticals, including contracting, distribution / wholesaler channels, pricing structures, chargeback programs, institutional sales, GPOs, IDNs, clinics, buy & bill models, reimbursement, and market access
  • Understand formulary and P&T processes for assigned customers to support formulary access for Teva products
  • Enter all account and customer activity into the Teva CRM system (Veeva) daily
  • Build relationships at all levels within assigned targets to support strategic objectives
  • Analyze the region as a business unit, including preparing and presenting quarterly business reviews
  • Collaborate with National Account, Marketing, and Management teams to achieve distribution and sales objectives
  • Represent Teva’s products and image professionally, adhering to compliance, aggregate spend, and travel policies
  • Record account information and competitive intelligence using available resources

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Account Management, Sales, or Marketing, or at least 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in the buy & bill market, preferably in the biosimilar space
  • Experience working in hospital or IDN markets is preferred
  • Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Proven track record of sales success and business acumen
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement and the 340B program
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute plans
  • Experience delivering and executing contracts
  • Travel

  • Up to 50% travel required
  • Resident within 60 miles of the workload center in the assigned territory
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a workstation or mobile equipment
  • May wear PPE during site visits (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves)
  • Credentialing

    Employees in customer-facing roles must complete Teva credentialing for access to customers within 60 days of start and upload proof of immunization to the credentialing vendor system within 60 days of notification. May include vaccinations, medical testing, and safety training.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The annual starting salary for this position is between $148,000 and $194,000. Salary may vary by geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This role participates in the company’s sales incentive plan based on defined targets.
