## Tax Manager - Business Tax Services - Healthcare Tax Exempt

### Overview

**** is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join its Business Tax Services Tax-Exempt practice. The successful candidate will be working with tax-exempt organizations, providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse range of non-profit industries. This role is available in 27 locations nationwide.

### Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on federal tax consulting/compliance engagements
- Advise clients on a variety of tax issues
- Oversee federal tax compliance and consulting projects
- Manage engagement workflow, resources, and billing
- Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the engagement team

### Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

- 5+ years’ experience in federal taxation with a strong emphasis on tax-exempt organizations (501(c)(3)s and 501(c)(4)s)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other business-related field
- One of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average

Preferred qualifications include:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Solid understanding and experience with federal tax compliance, tax analysis, and tax research
- Solid understanding with respect to mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring specific to tax-exempt organizations
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Excellent presentation and communications skills
- Strong management experience
- Strong analytical skills

### Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,980 to $193,440.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
