REPORTING TO : INSTALLATION OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
FUNCTIONAL CO-ORDINATION : INSTALLATION OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings and project specifications to plan and execute piping work accurately.
- Measure, cut, thread and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools and precision instruments according to design specifications.
- Install and align piping systems for gas distribution networks including connections to AMI meters, commercial meters, EVCs and PRMS equipment.
- Perform pipe welding and fit-up preparation including cleaning, bevelling and joint alignment in coordination with welders.
- Ensure proper installation of supports, hangers, brackets, valves and fittings maintaining correct slope and alignment.
- Conduct pressure testing, leak testing and functional checks on installed piping systems under supervision.
- Follow ADNOC HSE policies, Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and safe work practices at all times.
- Coordinate with QC officers to verify pipe installation quality, report non-conformances and implement corrective measures.
- Assist in maintenance, repair and replacement of existing piping systems to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.
- Maintain and handle tools, materials and equipment responsibly, ensuring readiness and proper storage.
- Support emergency response activities, including gas leak isolation, purging and shutdowns.
- Participate in on-the-job training and skill development programs to enhance technical knowledge and adherence to ADNOC standards.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.Technical certification in pipe fitting, mechanical maintenance, or relevant trade preferred.Knowledge of ASME, API and ADNOC piping standards is advantageous.Experience
2–5 years of hands-on experience in pipe fitting Installation projects.Experience in assembling, installing and maintaining piping systems including valves, flanges, supports and meters.Familiarity with site safety procedures, PTW systems and quality inspections.N.B : The salary will be discussed during the interview.
