A fast-growing private equity fund manager with current AUM over $2.5bn – and ambitious plans to reach $10bn – seeks a finance leader for their senior team in Dubai. This is a unique, high-impact opportunity for a driven finance professional to help shape the backbone of a scaling investment platform.
What We’re Looking For
- UAE based Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent), strong technical foundation and leadership skills including experience of running and managing teams in finance within a multi jurisdictional environment
- Hands-on experience in financial control with strong technical skills and experience of running the consolidation and reviewing the accounting work of others and fund accounting / fund control within private equity, asset management, or similar sectors such as a family office.
- Exceptional communicator with strong written English and stakeholder management.
- Commercially minded, proactive, thrives in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the CFO the role includes the following :
Lead the timely preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and annual financial statements.Oversee all Group accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with IFRS, and robust internal controls.Manage statutory audits and communications with external auditors.Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.Fund Financial Control
Supervise fund-level accounting and NAV calculations across multiple private equity funds.Review and ensure accuracy of fund financial statements, capital accounts, and investor reporting packs.Oversee coordination with fund administrators and custodians to streamline reporting and major transactions.Manage capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and oversee all investment and divestment records at fund level.Business Support & Strategic Input
Produce high-quality financial analysis and KPI reporting to support decision-making by the CFO, investment teams, and Executive Committee.Partner with deal teams to assess investment performance and assist with portfolio company reporting.Support strategic planning and scenario modelling as the firm scales towards $10bn AUM.Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and automation to enable scalability.Leadership & Team Management
Manage, mentor, and develop an Assistant Financial Controller, and oversee the hiring of an additional junior accountant.Build strong working relationships with operations, legal, compliance, and investment teams across multiple geographies.Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance function.Design and lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning at both Group and fund levels.Deliver high-quality analysis and KPIs to support strategic initiatives, the CFO, Front Office, and Executive Committee.Partner with investment teams to analyse portfolio performance, support deal evaluation, and drive value creation.Continuously improve financial models, reporting tools, and automation to enable the business to scale effectively.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and tax requirements across jurisdictions.Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and financial governance.Manage tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisers as needed.The Package :
