Vice President - Investment Evaluation, Private Equity & Infrastructure

Overview

Panthera Partners is partnered with a globally renowned Sovereign Wealth Fund to appoint a Vice President to their Investment Evaluation team, based in the UAE. The fund has built a global portfolio of assets across infrastructure, real estate, private equity, and special situations to name a few. The Investment Evaluation division partners with deal teams to assess, shape, and drive conviction in high-value investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, sectors, and geographies.

This is a unique opportunity for a VP level investment professional with deep analytical competence and commercial acumen, to influence decisions at the highest level of a globally active fund. The VP will support and shape Investment Committee dialogue, act as a thought partner to senior leadership, and lead workstreams across multiple concurrent deals. This hire will also help evolve the fund’s use of AI and data analytics to drive faster, smarter investment outcomes.

This is an ideal position for candidates with experience in infrastructure, real estate, or generalist private equity, as well as those from special situations or strategy backgrounds looking to apply their skills in a high-impact role.

Responsibilities

• Be sitting in a Vice President or equivalent role within a top-tier investment manager across infrastructure, private equity, real estate, special situations, or public markets.
• Alternatively, be operating in a strategic evaluation or due diligence capacity at an institutional investor.
• Demonstrate experience in evaluating complex private investments, with a strong grasp of underwriting equity and / or credit opportunities.
• Possess exceptional analytical skills, investment judgement, and experience shaping investment theses and leading commercial due diligence.
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact and liaise with all levels of management, including Investment Committees.
• Be comfortable working at pace across multiple workstreams and partnering with deal teams on high-impact outcomes.
• Show a genuine interest in applying technology, AI, and advanced data analytics to enhance investment processes.
• Hold a strong academic background, ideally with a postgraduate qualification (MBA, CFA, etc.) in finance, economics, or a related discipline.
