PMC HSE Manager

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Site HSE Manager for our client Taziz Methanol Project in Abu Dhabi as part of our Project Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be onshore site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role

Manage HSE on the Project scope in accordance with all applicable ADNOC HSE policies & procedures, corporate safety codes of practice, UAE statutes and international standards. Advise Senior Project Management regarding HSE matters and liaise with project partner companies and EPC contractors to support HSE Planning, Safety, Risk Management, Emergency Response, Environmental & Regulatory, Field Execution and HSE Performance &Compliance activities during all phases of the Project.

Expected:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Master’s degree in management or equivalent
• Minimum Twenty 20+ years’ experience within the oil & gas sector, including minimum of 10 years of HSE related experience and minimum of 7 years supervisory / managerial experience
• In possession of current internationally recognized Professional Certification (., Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar).
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good leadership skills
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
• Ability to make independent judgments and decisions in the resolution of Quality issues
• Experience with contractors and suppliers and ability to manage related interfaces
