Polisher
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surface Polishing & Maintenance
Polish and maintain metal wood marble and glass surfaces to ensure a highquality finish.
Conduct routine inspections to identify scratches tarnishes or wear on surfaces and apply the necessary restoration techniques.
Utilize appropriate chemicals and polishing tools based on surface type and manufacturer recommendations.
2. Repair & Restoration
Perform minor repairs on furniture fixtures and decorative pieces to restore their original appearance.
Apply protective coatings waxes and sealants to prolong the life of surfaces.
Work with the carpentry team to refinish damaged or wornout wooden elements.
3. Equipment & Safety Compliance
Ensure proper handling storage and usage of polishing tools equipment and chemicals.
Adhere to safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any major damages or maintenance issues to the Engineering Supervisor.
4. Guest & Staff Interaction
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working in public areas.
Ensure minimal disruption to guests while carrying out tasks.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
5. Inventory & Documentation
Maintain records of polishing schedules completed tasks and materials used.
Assist in inventory management by requesting necessary supplies and equipment.
Qualifications :
Prior experience as a polisher preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
Strong knowledge of polishing techniques for various surfaces including wood metal and marble.
Familiarity with the safe use of polishing machines tools and chemicals.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain highquality finishing standards.
Basic repair and restoration skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Good communication and timemanagement skills.
