Requirements
- Kitchen management
Oversee the kitchen staff including training new staff and managing schedules
- Menu development
Help create and maintain menus and recipes and select ingredients
- Food preparation
Prepare present and service menu items and ensure quality taste and presentation
- Inventory
Track and order inventory and ensure the kitchen has the necessary tools and supplies
- Safety
Ensure staff and the kitchen adhere to safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Communication
Communicate relevant information to kitchen staff and liaise with other departments
- Leadership
Provide supportive leadership to the kitchen staff and represent the head chef in their absence
- Business growth
Work with the head chef and general manager to set a plan for growing the business and driving sales
