Procurement Manager

Overview

The Role

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives and budget requirements. Identify and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products. Monitor and analyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise the procurement process. Collaborate with project managers and other departments to determine material needs and specifications for each project. Manage the procurement budget and provide regular reports on expenditure and cost savings. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project timelines. Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, products, and prices to facilitate efficient decision-making. Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and take corrective actions when necessary. Stay updated on industry trends and new products to improve the procurement process continually.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management, business administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to procurement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
