Our client seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all transactions are accurately documented.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to internal stakeholders and regulators as required.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and financial procedures.
- Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members and help foster their professional growth.
- Prepare and review journal entries and accruals in conformity with accounting standards.
- Support audits by preparing required documents and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS / GAAP).
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and improve financial controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CA, CPA, or CMA preferred.At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (IFRS or GAAP).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).Seniority level
