Senior Videographer / Editor (Chinese Speaker )

Role Overview
The Senior Videographer / Editor is a hands-on role responsible for shooting and editing video content across documentaries, high-production projects, and social media formats. The role requires a strong balance between visual execution and post-production, with the ability to move seamlessly between filming and editing based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Videography & Shooting
- Shoot video content for:
- Short documentaries
- Field reports
- Social media content
- High-production projects
- Execute filming based on the creative and technical direction provided.
- Ensure strong framing, composition, and visual consistency.
- Work efficiently on location under tight schedules.
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit video content across multiple formats:
- Documentaries
- Long-form videos
- Short-form and social media content
- Build edits based on provided structure or raw footage.
- Ensure proper pacing, flow, and narrative clarity.
- Prepare final outputs ready for publishing.
Storytelling Support
- Support storytelling through:
- Scene selection
- Visual rhythm
- Logical sequencing
- Collaborate with directors and editors to enhance narrative quality.
Technical Execution
- Work confidently with professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro).
- Handle basic color correction and audio cleanup.
- Prepare content in multiple aspect ratios when required.
- Ensure technical quality meets Wasl’s standards.
Workflow & Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with the production and editorial teams.
- Manage assigned tasks independently.
- Handle revisions efficiently and professionally.
- Participate in production or editorial meetings when required.
Standards & Expectations
- Maintain high visual and editing quality.
- Adapt quickly to different content styles and formats.
- Balance speed with quality in a deadline-driven environment.
- Respect cultural context and Arabic content standards.
Language & Content Scope
- Chinese, English.
