Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer to provide end-user computing support and ensure the efficient operation of desktop and laptop environments across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing operating systems, deploying software, maintaining endpoint security tools, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure a secure and productive user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and macOS.
- Manage software installations, upgrades, and patch management to ensure systems are up to date.
- Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions such as Microsoft Defender and other antivirus or endpoint protection tools.
- Support and maintain productivity applications including Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and device access using Active Directory.
- Assist with system imaging, device provisioning, and asset management.
- Monitor endpoint performance, security compliance, and system health.
- Provide support for remote users and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and issue resolutions.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and security teams to ensure system stability and security.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in desktop support, endpoint administration, or IT support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience managing users and devices through Active Directory.
- Familiarity with enterprise productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and remote connectivity.
- Experience with endpoint security tools and patch management processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
