Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET with 6 8 years of hands-on experience in functional testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Playwright and Selenium, proficiency in [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Core Java or Python, and solid experience in [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]API testing.

The candidate should have prior experience working on [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]banking or financial services applications and be comfortable working across the complete software testing lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test planning through automation, defect management, and release validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios, risks, and test coverage.
• Design, develop, and maintain [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]functional and automated test cases for web-based applications.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Playwright and Selenium.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable automation scripts using [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Core Java or Python.
• Perform [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Design and execute [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]API test cases for REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent frameworks.
• Validate API request/response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, and data integrity.
• Integrate automated test suites into [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and analyze test failures and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Jira or equivalent.
• Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, sprint ceremonies, and defect triage meetings.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Create and maintain test data and support environment/configuration-related testing activities.
• Contribute to improving automation coverage, framework stability, test execution time, and overall QA processes.
• Provide testing estimates, status reports, metrics, and release-readiness updates.
• Ensure adequate test coverage for critical [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]banking and financial transactions.

Required Technical Skills Test Automation

• Strong hands-on experience with [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Playwright automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience developing or maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright/Selenium.
• Good understanding of automation best practices, Page Object Model, reusable components, synchronization, waits, and test data management.
• Experience with cross-browser testing and parallel test execution.

Programming

• Strong proficiency in [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Core Java or Python.
• Good understanding of OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and programming fundamentals.
• Ability to develop reusable and maintainable automation utilities/framework components.

API Testing

• Strong experience in [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]API testing.
• Hands-on experience with [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent API automation tools/frameworks.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON/XML, authentication, request/response validation, and API data integrity.

Functional Testing

• Strong experience in manual/functional testing.
• Experience in preparing test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution reports.
• Experience with regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]SDLC and STLC.
• Good experience in defect lifecycle and root-cause analysis.

CI/CD & Tools

• Experience with [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket or equivalent version-control systems.
• Experience with [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience working in [strong style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 600;"]Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar defect/test management tools.
