The Senior Manager – AI Security Product Owner is a senior delivery position within Deeplight consultancy, embedded directly within a major banking client. This role functions as the strategic owner of the AI security product lifecycle, defining the roadmap, feature requirements, and delivery schedules for tools and frameworks designed to protect the bank’s AI/ML ecosystem. Serving as the primary interface between technical security squads and business units, this position requires a balance of Agile product management expertise, technical AI security knowledge, and the professional diplomacy necessary to align senior stakeholders within a Tier 1 financial institution.

Your responsibilities in this role include:

• Defining, maintaining, and executing the long-term vision and product roadmap for the bank's AI security tools, platforms, and capabilities.
• Translating complex AI security requirements into functional user stories, maintaining a prioritized product backlog that balances technical debt with business utility.
• Leading cross-functional engineering and data science squads through Agile sprints, ensuring clear definition of done and timely delivery of features.
• Coordinating closely with senior business leaders, risk officers, and technical engineering leads to ensure product features meet commercial objectives and security requirements.
• Driving the internal onboarding and adoption of AI security products across the bank's broader development, data science, and security teams.
• Representing Deeplight on the ground by modelling exceptional delivery standards, technical integrity, and proactive problem-solving for the client.

Requirements

For this role, we need you to have:

• A minimum of 6 years in technical product management or delivery lead roles, with a focus on cybersecurity, data platforms, or AI/ML tools.
• Practical experience operating within a regulated banking environment, ensuring product delivery complies with institutional risk and security standards.
• Prior experience in a client-facing professional services or consultancy capacity, managing project delivery and client expectations.
• Documented experience working directly alongside security engineers, data scientists, and enterprise architects to ship software.
• Proven capability to manage software or platform products through the full lifecycle from conception to operational hand-off.
• Foundational understanding of the tools and methodologies used to secure AI pipelines, large language models (LLMs), and cloud data environments.
• Be a master of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, including experience with enterprise planning tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• The ability to manage conflicting priorities from senior stakeholders, transforming ambiguous requests into clear technical deliverables.
• Capacity to articulate the technical and business value of security initiatives to both engineering teams and non-technical business leaders.

It would also be great if you have:

• Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g., CSPO, PMI-ACP, SAFe POPM) or relevant security/cloud credentials.
• A conceptual understanding of MLOps pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
• Understanding of modern security principles like Zero Trust and defense-in-depth as they apply to data and model architectures.
