Job Description

Environmental consultants give advice on environmental matters. They work on areas such as the effects of new developments on the environment, the control of pollution and noise, the effects of agriculture or recreation on plants and wildlife, the effect of climate change and waste management and recycling.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management and Supervision : responsible for managing and executing environmental projects including overseeing environmental due diligence, site investigations, and remediation projects from inception to completion. expected to manage small projects or substantial portions of larger projects, ensuring that tasks are delegated and supervised accordingly.
• Technical Assessments and Reporting : conduct detailed technical assessments and prepare comprehensive reports involving field investigations, sampling, and monitoring activities, and responsible for preparing technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments, organizing data, validating findings, and preparing reports such as Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Due Care Plans, Construction Environmental Management Plan, and Response Activity Plans.
• Regulatory Compliance and Strategic Advice : providing strategic advice on regulatory compliance and environmental risk management, compliance with local, regional and international environmental regulations, including those related to hazardous materials management, chemical inventory, water, wastewater, solid waste, and air emissions.
• Client Engagement and Business Development : actively participate in client meetings and discussions, developing and maintaining client relationships where marketing efforts are involved.
