General Accountant

algahwaalarabiya is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage and oversee the company's financial transactions and records. The General Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial statements, processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting the finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity of algahwaalarabiya and providing insightful financial information to assist in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits.
• Support management with financial analysis and recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant or similar accounting role, preferably with 3+ years in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
