Structural Draftsman

Roles Responsibilities Develop detailed structural drawings including plans elevations sections and details ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and building codes Create 3D models and visualizations of structural components using software like AutoCAD and Revit to aid in design reviews and stakeholder communication Collaborate with structural engineers architects and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs with architectural and MEP systems Review and interpret structural engineering designs calculations and specifications to translate them into clear and concise drawings Lead and mentor junior draftsmen providing guidance on drawing techniques standards and best practices Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with industry standards Manage and maintain drawing revisions ensuring that all project documentation is uptodate and properly archived Coordinate with external consultants and vendors to obtain necessary information and incorporate it into the drawings Assist in the preparation of construction documents including bills of materials and specifications Stay current with the latest drafting software building codes and industry trends to improve design efficiency and quality Desired Candidate Profile Possesses a Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field providing a strong foundation in structural principles Holds relevant professional certifications such as a Certified Drafter or similar demonstrating a commitment to industry standards Demonstrates 5 years of experience in structural drafting showcasing a proven track record of successful project delivery Exhibits a deep understanding of the construction industry including knowledge of building materials methods and codes Nationality preference Open to all nationalities fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment Expert in AutoCAD and Revit and proficient in other relevant software such as Tekla Structures or Navisworks streamlining design workflows Demonstrates strong analytical and problemsolving skills essential for identifying and resolving design challenges Exhibits excellent communication and collaboration skills facilitating effective teamwork and project coordination Possesses a keen eye for detail and accuracy ensuring the creation of highquality and errorfree drawings
