Roles & Responsibilites:
- Database Development: Design, build, and maintain high-performance Oracle (11g/19c) and IBM DB2 stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Performance Engineering: Analyze execution plans, identify bottlenecks, and resolve indexing gaps to optimize high-volume queries (with a proven ability to significantly reduce query response times).
- ETL & Data Pipelines: Build and maintain reliable ETL pipelines using PL/SQL, Informatica, and modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
- Automation & CI/CD: Write Python and Unix shell scripts for data processing and workflow automation. Integrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Data Modeling: Design ER diagrams and normalized schemas to minimize redundancy, maintain data integrity, and support high-volume transaction processing.
- Reporting & Compliance Develop comprehensive MIS and regulatory reports covering transaction activity, reconciliation, and compliance needs.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum setup to deliver scalable database solutions on time.
Required Technical Skills:
- Core Databases: Expert-level knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (11g/19c) and IBM DB2. Familiarity with MS SQL Server is a plus.
- Languages: Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, DB2 SQL, T-SQL, Python, and UNIX Shell Scripting.
- PL/SQL Architecture: Strong expertise in bulk binding, ref cursors, collections, and object types.
- ETL & Cloud Ecosystem: Informatica, Snowflake, AWS, and AWS Glue.
- CI/CD & Tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, Git, Control-M, or Autosys.
