Roles Responsibilities Policies Processes Procedures Follows all relevant policies processes procedures and controls within the respective Operations Centre so that procedural legislative requirements are fulfilled while ensuring high quality work is carried out safely and in a costeffective and consistent manner DaytoDay Operations Carries out daytoday operations within the respective Operations Centre to ensure that work processes are implemented as directed by the Day Crew Supervisor whilst complying with established policies processes and procedures Receives daily direction from the Day Crew Supervisor on activities to be performed and ensures work is completed in a timely and safe manner and in line with the required quality standards Ensures timely escalation of any issues problems to the Day Crew Supervisor in order to support in timely corrective action Operations Maintains a daily log of all activities conducted and ensures activities are completed as per the daily checklist Handles and transfers material tools and equipment to the required location ensuring compliance with safety environment and quality standards Carries out various routine procedures independently cooperates with the Production and Maintenance teams and appropriately escalates problems in a timely manner Participate in team prestart meeting to understand planned shift activities and ensure that issues requiring attention are appropriately handed over prior to the end of the shift Reports all accidents incidents and nearmisses to the Day Crew Supervisor and assist in incident investigation to avoid reoccurrence Complies with the set housekeeping standards and procedures in order to ensure that the Operations Centre is clean and hygienic Safety Quality Environment Complies with all relevant safety quality and environmental management policies procedures and controls in order to ensure employee safety legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude Related Assignments Performs other related duties or assignments as directed Desired Candidate Profile Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma completion of technical secondary school with a relevant trade certification Minimum Experience 1 to 2 years of experience in a production plant is highly preferable e g alumina gas oil or petrochemical plants Preferably having a certification or training that will provide the position holder with the required basic knowledge alumina refinery fundamentals Skills Physical fitness and ability to work within plant work Basic knowledge of industrial processes industrial background Knowledge of continuous process operations Ability to complete routing operations support tasks within the assigned Operations centre with minimal supervision Understanding of safety quality and environmental management and control procedures Good communication skills Risk awareness Work under pressure with discretion reliability and accuracy
