Job Focus Process safety consulting in energy and chemical sectors primarily in Gulf countries Saudi Arabia UAE Qatar Kuwait Bahrain Oman Key Tasks Conduct fundimantal works e g field work data collection and organization preparing reports for safety studies like HAZOP Hazard and Operability Study SIL Safety Integrity Level and QRA Quantitative Risk Assessment Apply expertise in process engineering instrumentation equipment automation and petroleum engineering Support project managers with coordination documentation and drafting safety consulting reports Commit to continuous learning to stay updated on new techniques and industry standards Work Hours 48 hours per week Skills Educational Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Instrumentation Electrical Engineering Automation Mechanical Engineering Petroleum Engineering Storage and Transportation or a related discipline Degree must be from a university listed in the QS World University Rankings or US News World Report Educational certificate Attestation required Professional Experience Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process safety chemical plant operations or related fields Language Proficiency Fluency in English as the working language Technical Skills Proficiency in process safety methodologies including HAZOP SIL and QRA Expertise in interpreting and developing Process Flow Diagrams PFDs and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams P IDs Familiarity with risk assessment tools such as BowtieXP or PHAST Knowledge of industry standards including API for pressurerelieving systems and emerging technologies like digital twins for process safety Soft Skills Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and report writing Excellent project coordination and teamwork abilities High adaptability and commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with evolving industry standards Personal Attributes Serious responsible practical and hardworking Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure Work Conditions Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays as required Acceptance of the company s IRC overtime policy which provides time off in lieu of overtime pay Legal and Health Requirements No criminal record Must pass a Medical Fitness Test including assessments for blood pressure diabetes vision and overall health ensuring no conditions e g infectious diseases or severe chronic illnesses that impact working onsite safety Additional Preferences Valid UAE driver s license is preferred
