Managing Director

Roles Responsibilities The Managing Director serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients overseeing operations at a strategic level while maintaining direct relationships with ship captains and key decisionmakers The role bridges client relations operations and commercial decisionmaking to ensure jobs are secured executed and closed successfully Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for captains and clients building and maintaining strong working relationships Facilitate and coordinate ship repair maintenance and dry dock jobs from initial inquiry through to completion Oversee operations at a senior level functioning as an operations manager on a broader strategic scale Liaise with and where necessary provide input into technical matters across departments mechanical electrical fabrication carpentry etc to keep jobs on track Represent the company at the forefront of all client communications and negotiations Manage commercial aspects of jobs including pricing decisions and approving discounts to secure work Support the recovery of outstanding payments and follow up on monies owed by clients Desired Candidate Profile Master s degree in Business Administration or a related field demonstrating advanced understanding of corporate strategy Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience ideally within the same industry showcasing proven results Professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma preferred reflecting commitment to project management excellence Experience in international markets with a preference for candidates with a diverse cultural background
