Valve Diagnostic Testing Technician (Nuclear Power Plant)

This role is responsible for diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AOVs, MOVs, and associated mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Candidates must have proven hands-on experience using one or more of the following industry-standard diagnostic tools:

• VOTES Infinity
• Viper 20
• Liberty QuikLook
• Emerson AMS / ValveLink
• Fisher FlowScanner
• Teledyne TestMate / PressureMate
• MOVATS / DIAGMOV
• PV-Pro (Bently Nevada / Baker Hughes)
• Diagnostic Xplorer (MOV/AOV Xplorer)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, inspection, and verification activities on mechanical plant systems and equipment during planned outages.
• Conduct valve inspections and identify defects requiring repair or replacement.
• Perform valve maintenance, inspection, testing, overhaul, refurbishment, and repair activities.
• Acquisition and analysis for MOV and AOV using diagnostic system Viper20/Vote infinity or similar
• Issuing and revision of maintenance procedure for valves, electrical and pneumatic actuators including accessories
• Maintenance activities (calibration, troubleshooting)
• Support outage work scopes involving safety-related and operational valves.
• Interdepartmental support for Engineering and Operation Department;
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful outage delivery.
• Execute maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' valve diagnostics experience
• Previous outage experience within an operational Nuclear Power Plant environment.
• Understanding diagnostic procedures for diagnosis and calibration with Viper20 and VOTES INFINITY of valves with electric and pneumatic actuators (preventive, predictive and corrective activities);
• Experience in troubleshooting for corrective activities as per manufacturer manuals (such as Rotork, Biffi, Dresser, Parcol, Velan, emerson);
• Knowledge of refurbishment activities on MOV and AOV actuators and accessories.
