About the role
The Data Analyst Assistant position exists to handle the foundational data processing required for our current engagement with a major logistics provider. This role ensures that the large datasets we receive from various sources are cleaned and organized so our principals can develop clear, defensible strategies for the client. By joining this project, you will help bridge the gap between raw operational figures and the corporate governance decisions that drive long term performance.

What you will do
  • Organizing raw logistics data to support our engagement with a major provider in the sector.
  • Cleaning and validating performance metrics to ensure accurate reporting for various holding companies.
  • Conducting research on market trends within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Building simple models to help the team form a view on operating model efficiency.
  • Preparing summary tables and charts for principal-led meetings.
  • Maintaining data documentation for various governance and strategy mandates.
  • Identifying anomalies in operational datasets that might indicate underlying portfolio issues.
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal reports that translate complex numbers into plain English.
What we are looking for
  • A strong sense of logic and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable parts.
  • Familiarity with basic data tools including spreadsheets and common query languages.
  • Excellent written communication with a focus on precision and brevity in reports.
  • Natural curiosity about how large corporations and industrial logistics operations function.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting specific project deadlines.
  • An interest in corporate governance and the way holding companies manage their assets.
How we work
We operate an entirely remote organization that prioritizes clarity and direct accountability. Our structure avoids the traditional hierarchy of large firms, preferring to give our team members direct access to the principals who lead every mandate. We believe in providing mentorship through active participation in real client problems, especially regarding our current work with a major logistics provider.
