Senior Quantity Surveyor Building Projects
Roles Responsibilities Manage all quantity surveying and commercial activities on building projects Prepare cost estimates quantity takeoffs Bills of Quantities BOQs tender documentation and contract documents Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements Review evaluate and negotiate variations claims extension of time submissions and additional cost claims Prepare submit and negotiate interim payment applications and final accounts Monitor project budgets cash flow forecasts and commercial performance Provide commercial and contractual support to Project Managers Resident Engineers and project teams Manage subcontractor procurement contract administration and final account settlements Identify commercial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation measures Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondence commercial documentation and project financial data Liaise with clients contractors consultants and relevant authorities on commercial and contractual matters Participate in project meetings progress reviews and commercial negotiations Ensure compliance with company policies quality standards and health and safety requirements Prepare monthly commercial reports and management updates Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor s degree in quantity surveying Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline Minimum 15 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in commercial and contract management for building projects At least 5 years of relevant experience in the UAE Proven experience delivering commercial services on largescale building projects including residential commercial mixeduse hospitality healthcare or institutional developments Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration practices Experience in claims management variation assessment cost control procurement and final account negotiations Strong analytical commercial and problemsolving skills Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and commercial management software Experience working for consultancy firms in the UAE is highly desirable
