Roles Responsibilities Work as the Quality Work Instructions Preparing specific food items and meal components at your station Following directions provided by the head chef Collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to ensure highquality food and service Keeping all areas of the kitchen safe and sanitary Stock taking and ordering supplies for your station Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback Assisting in other areas of the kitchen when required Assisting all the kitchen staff whenever the chef is not around Always check all the labels expiry and supplies of the kitchen Communicate with the staff for food preparation Always monitor the quantity and quality of the food before serving Prepare and present a variety of pastries desserts cakes and baked items according to recipes and standards Manage the pastry section independently and ensure smooth daily operations Maintain consistency in taste portioning and presentation Assist in menu development and creation of new dessert items Ensure proper storage labelling and handling of ingredients Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement when needed Follow food safety hygiene and HACCP standards at all times Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry section Desired Candidate Profile Experience with healthy nutritious and dietaryspecific meal preparation Knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and menu planning
