Job Description

Our client, a leading multi-product SaaS company, has partnered with TalentOne to find a Data Engineer (Software Engineer, Data) to join their growing Data & AI/ML Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-scale data platforms powering AI/ML products, fraud detection, recommendation engines, and personalisation solutions in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment.

Location: Dubai (Hybrid)

About the Role

• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that power fraud detection, recommendation engines, personalisation, and AI/ML products.
  
• Work with technologies including Kafka, Spark (Data bricks), Airflow, and Python to deliver scalable, production-ready data solutions.
  
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and backend engineers to ensure reliable, high-quality data pipelines.
  
• Own pipeline performance, monitoring, testing, and reliability while contributing to continuous platform improvements.
  

Requirements

3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering (Data).

Strong Python skills, including PySpark.

Hands-on experience with Kafka and stream processing (Flink is a plus).

Experience with Spark on Data bricks and Airflow (or similar orchestration tools).

Strong SQL, data modelling, and relational database knowledge.

Nice to have: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Feature Stores, MLOps, ML pipelines, or SaaS/high-scale product environments.

Requirements
Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Professional Certifications (Preferred) PMP (Project Management Professional) ITIL Foundation or Advanced Certifications TOGAF Digital Transformation or Enterprise Architecture Certifications Experience Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Information Technology, Enterprise Applications, Digital Solutions, or Digital Transformation. Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role. Mandatory experience within Banking, Financial Services, Investment Management, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Asset Management, or related financial institutions. Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation and enterprise application initiatives. Experience managing ERP systems, enterprise platforms, cloud migration programs, and system integration projects. Strong track record in stakeholder engagement and business-technology alignment. Technical Skills & Expertise Strong knowledge of Enterprise Applications, ERP platforms, and Digital Business Solutions. Experience with cloud technologies, system integration, APIs, and digital platforms. Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, RPA, Data Analytics, and emerging technologies. Knowledge of cybersecurity, governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Experience managing technology vendors and outsourced service providers.
