QHSE Officer

Roles Responsibilities Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions ensuring adherence to QHSE standards Develop and implement robust training programs that enhance employee awareness and knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations Collaborate with management to establish and maintain a comprehensive QHSE management system tailored to the specific needs of the organization Investigate incidents and near misses thoroughly documenting findings and recommending preventive measures to mitigate future risks Maintain uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and industry practices ensuring the organization is always compliant with current standards Prepare and present detailed reports on QHSE performance metrics highlighting trends and areas for improvement to stakeholders Facilitate regular QHSE meetings and workshops that promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the workforce Coordinate emergency response drills and safety training ensuring readiness and compliance with local regulations and organizational policies Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health Safety or a related field providing a solid foundation in QHSE principles At least 35 years of relevant work experience in QHSE roles demonstrating a proven track record of compliance and safety management Certifications such as NEBOSH ISO or ISO showcasing commitment to continuous professional development in QHSE Experience in the oil and gas construction or manufacturing industries where QHSE challenges and solutions are unique and complex Fluency in English is mandatory with additional language skills in Arabic or French as a significant advantage for diverse work environments Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies tailored to specific operational contexts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of engaging effectively with employees at all levels of the organization Proficiency in QHSE management software and tools enhancing efficiency in tracking compliance and safety performance
