Chief Risk Officer CRO

A leading bank in Abu Dhabi UAE is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer CRO to lead its Enterprise Risk Management function and ensure the Bank maintains a strong compliant and effective risk management framework in line with Central Bank of the UAE CBUAE regulations Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously enhance the Bank s Enterprise Risk Management ERM Framework Oversee Credit Risk Operational Risk Market Liquidity Risk and Enterprise Risk Management functions Monitor credit portfolio quality credit concentration delinquency trends and NonPerforming Loans NPLs Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations Basel III IV requirements and internal risk policies Lead stress testing ICAAP business continuity disaster recovery and recovery planning activities Oversee thirdparty and outsourcing risk assessments Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to Executive Management the Board Risk Committee and the Board of Directors Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators KRIs and enterprisewide risk assessments Coordinate with Compliance Legal Internal Audit and other key stakeholders to strengthen the Bank s governance framework Skills Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Economics Risk Management or a related field Master s Degree is preferred Professional certifications such as FRM PRM CFA CAMS CIA or ERM are highly desirable Minimum 15 years of banking experience including at least 5 years in a senior Risk Management leadership role Strong experience in Basel III IV Enterprise Risk Management frameworks ICAAP stress testing and regulatory reporting Proven experience working with the Central Bank of the UAE CBUAE and regulatory authorities Excellent leadership strategic thinking communication negotiation and Boardlevel presentation skills
