General Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized detailoriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing jewelry company The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the company s accounting and financial operations while also supporting inventory management exhibitions and business reporting Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for all company transactions Manage the complete accounting cycle including accounts payable accounts receivable bank reconciliations and general ledger Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports Maintain and reconcile inventory records ensuring accurate tracking of all jewelry stock movements Upload and manage inventory data within the company s accounting and inventory management systems Monitor inventory valuations and conduct regular stock reconciliations Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure full compliance with UAE tax regulations Coordinate with auditors tax consultants and regulatory authorities when required Process payroll and maintain employeerelated financial records Assist in budgeting forecasting and cash flow management Support the planning and financial administration of local and international jewelry exhibitions including budgeting expense tracking inventory movements and postevent reconciliation Prepare management reports sales analysis profitability reports and other financial insights Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial and inventory records Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Perform any additional finance or administrative duties required to support the business Requirements Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field Minimum 3 5 years of accounting experience experience in the jewelry luxury retail or trading industry is an advantage Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards Experience with accounting software and inventory management systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolving skills High level of integrity accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Excellent English communication skills Arabic is an advantage Preferred Qualities We are looking for someone who is handson and capable of managing the company s finance function from end to end The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling accounting inventory control taxation financial reporting exhibition accounting and supporting the daytoday financial operations of a growing jewelry business Skills Education Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field Professional certifications such as CPA ACCA or CMA are an advantage Skills Competencies Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and UAE VAT regulations Proficiency in accounting software and inventory management systems Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including data analysis and reporting Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks High level of accuracy attention to detail and integrity Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities Strong communication skills in English Arabic is an advantage Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders Adaptability and willingness to support various aspects of the business including exhibitions and inventory operations Preferred Qualities We are looking for someone who is handson and capable of managing the company s finance function from end to end The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling accounting inventory control taxation financial reporting exhibition accounting and supporting the daytoday financial operations of a growing jewelry business
