Junior Purchase Officer

Job Title – Junior Purchase Officer Location: Dubai, UAE About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Purchase Officer to support procurement operations by sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The role is ideal for an early-career procurement professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering and industrial environment. KTI provides industrial refrigeration and cooling solutions across multiple sectors including food processing, concrete, mining, and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing Assist in sourcing materials, equipment, spare parts, and services based on operational requirements. Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and RFQs. Obtain quotations from approved suppliers and prepare comparative cost analyses. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approved budgets. Supplier Coordination Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and product availability. Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials. Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and service providers. Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery. Inventory & Material Management Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to monitor stock levels. Support inventory replenishment to prevent material shortages. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes. Assist in resolving discrepancies related to deliveries and supplier invoices. Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation. Ensure purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and delivery records are properly filed. Update ERP or procurement systems with purchasing transactions. Prepare procurement reports and purchasing summaries as required. Cost Control & Procurement Support Support the procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities. Assist in negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers. Monitor procurement timelines to support project and operational schedules. Ensure purchases are made in accordance with approved specifications and budgets. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and warehouse teams to understand purchasing requirements. Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing. Support project teams with urgent procurement requests. Assist senior procurement personnel with strategic sourcing initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations. Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, or construction industries is preferred. Basic knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management, and supplier coordination. Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
