Job Summary
The Procurement In-Charge is responsible for managing procurement activities for infrastructure projects, ensuring the timely sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials, equipment, and subcontract packages while achieving cost efficiency and compliance with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement for roads, bridges, rail, and tunneling projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare RFQs, commercial evaluations, and purchase recommendations.
- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and procurement progress.
- Administer procurement contracts and maintain procurement records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support project budgets.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in infrastructure construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, contracts, supplier management, and FIDIC.
- Experience procuring materials and subcontract packages for roads, bridges, rail, and tunneling projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and Microsoft Office.
- UAE experience is required.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in MEP construction projects. Experience in industrial, commercial, warehouse, infrastructure, or large-scale building projects. Strong knowledge of international quality standards, inspection procedures, and construction specifications. Experience working with consultants, clients, and subcontractors in the UAE/GCC is preferred.
