Roles Responsibilities To perform the professional duties of a Neurologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as approved by the Credential Committee both in the OPD and IP To oversee the operation of the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory EEG EMG including the ongoing training of the technicians if and when needed Provides oncall emergency coverage for Neurologic emergencies Participates in the monthly educational conferences Supports Continuous Quality Improvement Develops and promotes appropriate standards of care Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff with associates and with Management Evidences leadership skills in developing in others the willingness and desire to work toward common objectives Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information and regarding administrative matters of a confidential nature Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for them Desired Candidate Profile Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency certification by the American Board of Neurology or Member of the Royal College of Neurology or its equivalent At least five 5 years of practice as a Neurologist with two 2 or more years as a licensed specialist Must be highly skilled in the particular field of practice with mature clinical judgment and ability to provide professional leadership He she must have a thorough knowledge of Medical Department policies and procedures with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients and adhere to Bylaws Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice Neurology as a specialist in Dubai UAE Communication interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers superiors patients and families
