General Accountant

We are looking for a detaildriven General Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting cycle If you enjoy handson accounting in a multientity international environment this is the opportunity for you Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll general ledger and financial reporting Handle general accounting tasks including preparing and reconciling financial statements and Tax declarations Closing Activities Manage monthly quarterly and yearend closings in accordance with IFRS standards Reporting Analysis Prepare record analyze and report financial data ensuring the integrity and accuracy of accounting records Ensure Compliance Maintain accurate records and verify transactions ensuring compliance with accounting policies Support Audits Assist in internal and external audits and contribute to various projects as needed Stakeholder Communication Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address all financial accountingrelated matters Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems enhancing efficiency and accuracy Skills Qualifications and Skills Professional accounting qualification e g CA CPA ACCA CMA is preferable Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance Prior experience in the aviation industry is a plus Strong knowledge of accounting principles standards and regulations Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Working knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT and Corporate Tax Other Preferred Qualifications Qualified accountants and auditors with relevant certifications and experience Experience working in a multinational company or group of companies Currently residing in the UAE and available to join at short notice
