About The RoleAccountantFull-Time, PermanentDubai, Site-BasedThe RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at JF SME Testing. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and delivering reliable reporting. From managing creditors and stock to handling VAT returns across regions, you’ll ensure smooth month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations while supporting the business with essential financial insights.The successful candidate should have experience in a similar role and will ideally have experience in UAE, KSA & Qatar taxation.This role will be site-based and the address is : Office 306, Ibn Batuta Gate offices- Jebal Ali Village- DubaiWhat You’ll Be DoingProcess supplier payment runs and reconcile ledgers.Verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.Manage multi-currency payments and FX transactions.Reconcile stock transactions in ERP and oversee physical counts.Identify and capitalize assets per thresholds.Run monthly depreciation and maintain asset registry.Handle general ledger accounting and reconciliations.Prepare weekly cash flow and support ad hoc tasks.Assist with journal entries and month-end closing.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.Support VAT, income tax, and provisional tax returns.Ensure compliance with James Fisher Group reporting standards.Assist with external audits across regions and ensure smooth execution.What We’re Looking ForFew years experience in a similar accounting role in the UAE.Strong attention to detail to maintain financial accuracy and compliance. Ability to work independently while collaborating with finance teams and external auditors. Proficiency in financial reporting tools (SAGE and Excel) is an advantage.Degree in Accounting or working toward a professional qualification.Familiarity with financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.Previous experience using Sage and IFS will be beneficial.Why join us?Competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience.Clear pathways for career development and organisational visibility.
