Roles Responsibilities We are seeking Sri Lankan and Philippine nationality skilled and handson Working Team Leader cum Carpenter with proven experience in the exhibition and events industry This dualrole position combines expert technical carpentry skills with leadership and onsite coordination responsibilities You will be responsible for leading a team in the fabrication assembly and onsite of custombuilt assembly installation of Exhibition stands and temporary custom structures props and installations such as MDF walls Structure backdrops related setups platforms and props for various exhibitions and events such as concerts trade shows festivals and other special occasions ensuring quality safety and timely execution Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of carpenters on workshop and onsite assignments Read and interpret technical drawings CAD plans and build specifications accurately Recommend and select suitable materials wood laminates MDF acrylics metals fabrics etc based on project needs durability weight and cost Oversee onsite stand installation and dismantling within project timelines Coordinate with project managers designers and other trades electrical graphics etc to ensure smooth execution Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures Monitor materials usage reduce waste and report inventory needs Solve onsite problems with quick practical solutions Mentor and train junior carpenters and ensure adherence to best practices at the worksite Ensure proper management and maintenance of the workshop space and its contents including machinery tools materials and plant Desired Candidate Profile Core Personal Traits Highly adaptable with a flexible cando attitude Willingness to work extended overtime hours including early mornings late nights weekends and public holidays as per project requirements Strong commitment to teamwork reliability and accountability Physically fit and capable of handling handson carpentry and demanding onsite conditions Willing to stay in companyprovided shared accommodation Minimum fixed working hours 11 hours per day Overtime is paid for additional hours on normal workdays of the week and on weekends and public holidays Preferred Qualifications ITI diploma or Vocational training in Carpentry or Woodworking Mandatory Prior experience in the events exhibitions or fitout industry Fluent communication skills in English read write and speak
