Project Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.

• Prepare, review, and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction and fit-out projects.

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare cost estimates.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.

• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.

• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.

• Measure completed work and verify contractor payment applications.

• Track material usage and ensure timely procurement of required materials.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

• Identify project risks and recommend practical solutions to avoid delays.

• Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and updated regularly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3 years of experience in construction, fit-out, or infrastructure projects.
  Strong hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and quantity take-offs.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience managing site execution and coordinating multiple contractors.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Project or Primavera P6.

• Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial, residential, or mixed-use development projects.

• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and variation order management.

• Knowledge of value engineering and project cost optimization.

• UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.

• Candidate must already be based in Abu Dhabi.
