Job Description
Our client is boutique, Dubai-based architecture and interior design studio, specialising in hospitality, healthcare, wellness and high-end residential projects. The practice is led by two Founding Partners who specialise in healthcare, hospitality and very high-end, modern residential. Together they combine their excellent backgrounds working at well known, international practice capabilities inside a boutique, hands-on studio with 45 staff.
The studio's design methodology is research-based, human-centric and rooted in a sensitivity to context, culture and environment, drawing on local vernacular to produce work that is modern, timeless and "of the place".
Their portfolio spans some of the region's most distinctive hospitality and wellness environments. The studio's design philosophy is distinctive within the Dubai market: rather than chasing spectacle, the leadership has built a reputation around minimalism, restraint, and a genuine prioritisation of occupant wellbeing.
The Role
This role is designed for a designer who has moved beyond junior tasks and is ready to own defined areas of a project independently, without yet carrying full project leadership responsibility. It offers genuine autonomy on a portfolio that includes internationally branded resorts, remote wellness retreats and complex healthcare environments, with direct exposure to the studio's Founding Partners and their design decision-making process.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage defined project areas or packages, from design development through to technical documentation.
- Coordinate directly with consultants and suppliers to resolve design and technical issues in real time.
- Produce high-quality technical drawing packages, specifications and client-ready presentations.
- Apply Revit for BIM coordination and detailed documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across drawing sets.
- Balance creative ambition with project budgets, operational requirements (particularly important in hospitality and healthcare typologies), and client expectations.
- Contribute design development ideas that reflect the studio's minimalist, wellness-focused design language
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience delivering hospitality, healthcare, or large-scale commercial interior projects
- A designer who is confident working independently on a defined scope but still enjoys collaborating within a small, senior-led team
- Essential Revit experience, including BIM coordination and detailed documentation, this is a hands-on technical role, not purely conceptual
- Strong design development instincts paired with technical understanding, someone who can sketch a good idea and then actually detail it
- A personality suited to a boutique environment: proactive, comfortable with direct access to senior leadership, and unafraid to advocate for design quality in client conversations
- Genuine enthusiasm for the studio's dual specialism in hospitality and healthcare, and an interest in wellness-oriented, materially honest design rather than trend-chasing aesthetics.
- Someone who thrives on variety, from a desert resort villa to a hospital chemotherapy suite and enjoys the technical and conceptual range this requires
Benefits
- 17,000 - 25,000 AED
- Flights
- Healthcare
- Candidates who have thrived at larger corporate practices but want more creative ownership, more direct access to senior leadership, and more variety across hospitality and healthcare sectors are ideal for this position.
