Senior Engineer - Structural Site Supervision

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Structural Site Supervision to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee structural engineering activities on-site, ensuring all construction work meets design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. You will serve as a technical authority on structural matters, providing leadership to site teams and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety throughout project execution.

• Supervise and coordinate all structural construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with approved designs and engineering specifications
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify structural integrity and adherence to building codes and safety standards
• Analyze structural challenges and provide technical solutions to resolve construction issues efficiently and effectively
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, inspection reports, and progress records for all structural work
• Lead and mentor site engineering teams, providing clear direction and technical guidance on structural construction methodologies
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely problem resolution
• Monitor material quality and testing procedures to confirm all structural components meet specified standards
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective measures to maintain a secure work environment
• Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings, and construction sequences before implementation
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior management and project stakeholders

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering and site supervision
• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering
• Proven experience managing large-scale structural construction projects from inception to completion
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred: Experience with construction projects in the Middle East or UAE
