Tower Crane Operator

Experience: Minimum 2 years of UAE experience

Work Description:

• Operate the tower crane safely and efficiently in accordance with the manufacturer's operating manual and approved lifting procedures.
• Lift, transport, and position construction materials, equipment, and prefabricated components to designated locations on site.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the tower crane, including brakes, hoist, trolley, slewing mechanism, limit switches, wire ropes, hooks, and safety devices.
• Verify that the crane is in safe working condition before commencing operations and report any defects or malfunctions immediately.
• Ensure all lifting operations are carried out within the crane's rated load capacity and approved load charts.
• Coordinate with the appointed Lifting Supervisor, Signalman, and Riggers using approved communication methods and hand signals.
• Monitor weather conditions, particularly wind speed, and suspend crane operations when conditions exceed safe operating limits.
• Ensure lifting operations comply with the approved lifting plan, method statement, and applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain full awareness of surrounding activities to prevent collisions with adjacent structures, equipment, overhead utilities, and other cranes.
• Record daily crane operation logs, inspections, and maintenance observations.
• Keep the crane cabin, controls, and operating area clean and in good condition.
• Assist maintenance personnel during routine servicing, inspections, and statutory testing of the crane.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, incidents, or equipment failures to the Lifting Supervisor or Site Management immediately.
• Follow all project safety rules, emergency procedures, and permit-to-work requirements.
