ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its Oral Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Services and is seeking an experienced Consultant Oral Surgeon to join its growing clinical team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will provide consultant-level Oral Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment supported by dentists, surgeons, orthodontists, nurses, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic and surgical infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring Oral Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical care according to clinical scope and expertise.
• Perform oral surgical procedures including complex dental extractions, impacted tooth removal, implant-related surgery, bone grafting, and other procedures within the approved scope of practice.
• Manage impacted teeth, oral infections, cysts, benign oral lesions, jaw conditions, and other surgical pathologies.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, obtain informed consent, and provide perioperative and post-operative care.
• Manage surgical complications and provide appropriate emergency and post-operative treatment.
• Collaborate with Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Periodontics, ENT, Oncology, and other dental and medical specialties when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Oral Surgeons and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery specialists holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:

• American Board or recognised specialist qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• UK CCT / FRCS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• European Board qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian FRACDS / FRACS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
• Arab Board in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• MDS or equivalent recognised postgraduate specialist qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
