Accounts & Finance Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial planning, accounting, auditing, budgeting, costing, and financial control activities for a manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing finance experience, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on expertise in ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and overall financial performance.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.

Budgeting & Financial Planning:

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Develop budgets for operating expenses, capital expenditure, production, and working capital.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances.
• Prepare financial forecasts and recommend corrective actions where required.

Costing & Manufacturing Finance:

• Manage product costing, standard costing, and cost analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, material consumption, labor costs, overheads, and production variances.
• Partner with production and operations teams to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, wastage, and production-related / financial metrics.
• Support pricing and profitability analysis for products.

Audit & Compliance:

• Coordinate internal and external financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, accounting, and financial control requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify areas of financial risk.
• Address audit observations and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

ERP & Process Improvement:

• Manage and utilize ERP systems for financial reporting, accounting, costing, inventory, and procurement processes.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP environment.
• Work with IT and business teams on ERP enhancements, process automation, and system improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and improve reporting efficiency.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Establish clear processes, controls, and performance expectations.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Procurement, Sales, HR, and senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, auditing, budgeting, costing, and financial controls.
• Proven experience in manufacturing finance.
• Strong understanding of inventory and product costing.
• Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and commercial acumen.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 12+ years of overall finance/accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• CA Finalist is mandatory.
• Strong exposure to manufacturing costing, budgeting, audits, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing finance teams and working directly with senior leadership.
• Proven ability to improve financial controls, processes, and cost efficiency.
