To join this exciting new journey, we are now seeking a HSE Officer - a key role at the heart of our growth.

Your key responsabilities will include :

- Support a safe, secure start-up and ongoing operations, ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements are addressed from day one
- Conduct workplace risk assessments, environmental reviews, and task-specific risk evaluations for site activities, projects, and changes in operations
- Provide daily HSE guidance to managers, supervisors, employees, and contractors, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements
- Participate in project reviews and site modifications to proactively identify and control HSE risks
- Assist operational teams in developing safe ways of working, operating procedures, and effective risk mitigation plans
- Lead and participate in regular workplace inspections, behavioural safety observations, and HSE compliance audits
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Support emergency preparedness, drills, and crisis management activities across the site
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date HSE records, permits, and documentation to comply with all regulatory and company standards
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO-based HSE management systems
- Ensure contractors and service providers meet all HSE site requirements, including documentation review, permit-to-work coordination, and performance monitoring
- Develop, organise, and deliver HSE training, induction, and awareness campaigns to promote a proactive safety culture
- Support environmental compliance, waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives for continuous environmental improvement
- Monitor performance, analyse data, produce HSE dashboards and KPIs, and provide management reports to drive decision-making

Candidate skills & requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HSE, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of five years' experience in HSE roles, ideally within the industrial, engineering, or manufacturing sectors; prior involvement with plant start-up or commissioning activities is a distinct advantage
- In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, with hands-on experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, and contractor management
- Practical expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and audit/inspection processes
- Strong familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems; knowledge of ISO 50001 is an asset
- Competency in designing and delivering HSE training and awareness sessions
- Proven skills in HSE reporting and analysis (proficient with Microsoft Office and HSE reporting tools)
- Experience in managing stakeholders and communicating effectively at all organizational levels
