About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Governess / House Manager to join a prestigious private VIP household in Dubai and provide trusted day-to-day support to a family with six children.

This is a broad and highly responsible position combining professional childcare, educational support, tutoring, family assistance and household coordination. The successful candidate will help create structure around the children's routines and education while ensuring the household operates smoothly throughout the day.

Working closely with the Executive Assistant, Chef, Driver and other household staff, the Governess / House Manager will act as a central point of coordination for the family's everyday requirements.

The position requires someone nurturing with children, highly organised with household matters, proactive in anticipating needs, and comfortable working within a discreet, high-standard private family environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Childcare Support: Provide attentive daily care, supervision and age-appropriate support to the family's six children, ensuring their wellbeing, safety and routines are consistently maintained.
• Educational Support: Assist the children with homework, schoolwork, reading, learning activities and general academic development while encouraging positive learning habits.
• Daily Routines: Organise and supervise the children's school preparation, meals, activities, appointments, playtime, homework and other daily routines.
• Household Coordination: Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the household and ensure family requirements are communicated and coordinated effectively.
• Staff Coordination: Work closely with the Chef, Driver, Executive Assistant and other household staff to coordinate meals, transportation, activities, appointments and family schedules.
• Family Assistance: Attend to general family requirements, anticipate practical needs and provide reliable support across the household as priorities change throughout the day.
• Activity Planning: Coordinate educational, recreational and extracurricular activities appropriate to the children's ages, interests and development.
• Schedule Management: Maintain awareness of school schedules, appointments, family commitments, transportation requirements and household activities.
• Household Standards: Help maintain an organised, structured and professionally managed home environment while ensuring household routines run efficiently.
• Professional Discretion: Maintain complete confidentiality, professionalism and discretion regarding the family, children, residence and all private household matters.

Candidate Requirements

• Private Household: Demonstrated experience as a Governess, House Manager, Family Assistant, Educated Nanny or similar position within a professional private household.
• Childcare Experience: Strong practical experience caring for and supervising children, preferably within a family with multiple children.
• Educational Ability: Confident supporting homework, tutoring, learning activities and the general educational development of school-age children.
• Household Management: Capable of coordinating household routines, family schedules and multiple domestic staff members without requiring constant supervision.
• Staff Collaboration: Comfortable coordinating effectively with Chefs, Drivers, Executive Assistants, Housekeepers and other household professionals.
• Strong English: Excellent spoken and written English with the communication ability required to support children academically and coordinate professionally with adults.
• Personal Qualities: Highly organised, nurturing, patient, responsible, proactive and capable of remaining calm while managing multiple priorities.
• Professional Discretion: Demonstrate exceptional confidentiality, trustworthiness, cultural sensitivity and professional conduct within a VIP private household environment.
