Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Liferay Tech Lead to lead the design, development, customization, and delivery of enterprise Liferay solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Liferay DXP 7.x, Java/J2EE, OSGi, MVC Portlets, Service Builder, REST APIs, integrations, and cloud/DevOps technologies.

The candidate will work closely with technical teams, architects, business stakeholders, and clients to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of Liferay DXP solutions.
• Develop and customize Liferay applications using OSGi, MVC Portlets, Service Builder, APIs, Hooks, Fragments, and Themes.
• Design scalable and secure enterprise application architectures.
• Lead integrations with third-party applications and enterprise systems using REST APIs and web services.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues.
• Manage and support Liferay upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, performance, scalability, and architectural best practices.

Must-Have Requirements

• 10+ years of overall Java/J2EE development experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on Liferay experience.
• Strong experience with Liferay DXP 7.x.
• Strong hands-on expertise in OSGi, MVC Portlets, and Service Builder.
• Strong Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and enterprise integration experience.
• Experience with Liferay architecture, customization, upgrades, and migrations.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and AWS/Azure.
• Strong understanding of SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, LDAP/SAML, authentication, and authorization.
• Good knowledge of application security, scalability, caching, performance optimization, and Elasticsearch.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in large enterprise, digital transformation, cloud, or managed-services environments will be highly preferred
