About the role
We are a UAE retail and distribution group operating 25+ brands and 30+ branches. We are hiring an Assistant Accountant for our Finance Division in Abu Dhabi. The role owns the daily bookkeeping cycle, accounts payable and cheque preparation, bank reconciliations and the daily bank balance report, and supports month-end closing under the direction of the Management and the external auditors.

Requirements
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in retail, FMCG or a multi-branch company in the UAE. • Hands-on experience with an accounting system (cloud SME accounting suite preferred) and with an expense-management tool. • Practical experience preparing cheques, initiating bank payments on online banking platforms, and performing bank reconciliations. • Good Excel skills: schedules, reconciliations, pivot tables. • Accurate, organised and disciplined about supporting documents and approval before payment. • Good written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
