Material Lab Consultant - Kitchen Division
Job Description
Black and Grey HR is hiring for a leading building materials company. We are looking for a Material Lab Consultant – Kitchen Division. This is a hands-on role for a customer-focused professional who can guide clients through kitchen material selections, understand their project needs, and convert showroom interactions into successful sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with showroom visitors and understand their kitchen requirements, preferences, and project scope.
- Recommend suitable worktops, finishes, cabinetry materials, fittings, and related solutions.
- Handle customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up consistently to drive conversions.
- Build strong knowledge of the product portfolio, specifications, applications, and latest offerings.
- Work closely with design and technical teams to address bespoke or project-specific requirements.
- Keep product samples and showroom displays organized, updated, and visually appealing.
- Maintain client records and nurture relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Deliver against assigned sales goals and contribute to overall showroom performance.
Requirements
- Experience in showroom, retail, or consultative sales, ideally within kitchen, interiors, furniture, or building materials.
-Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of kitchen materials, finishes, or basic design concepts is an advantage.
- Customer-oriented, commercially driven, and confident in handling sales conversations.
- Proactive approach with strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. - At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the insultion/construction industry. - Proven track record of driving business growth and exceeding sales targets - Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
