ABOUT THE ROLE
A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in UAE is expanding its autoimmune, inflammatory joint disease and connective tissue disorder services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Rheumatologist to join its growing clinical team. The role is designed for internationally trained clinicians seeking career advancement, strong clinical exposure, and the ability to practice within a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse international patient population. ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, connective tissue disease, vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and autoimmune disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor DMARDs, biologics, immunosuppressants and infusion therapies safely.
• Perform joint assessments, injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound where within scope.
• Assess and manage patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain and inflammatory rheumatic conditions.
• Coordinate care with nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and physiotherapy.
• Monitor disease progression, treatment response and medication-related risks.
• Educate patients on disease control, medication safety, lifestyle modification and flare management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with patient safety, infection control and UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

• American Board of Internal Medicine - Rheumatology
• UK CCT / MRCP with rheumatology training
• European Board / national specialist registration
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian FRACP
• Arab Board
• DM / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
